Located in the shadow of Tucson’s most prominent mountain range, the Catalina Foothills is home to several spectacular golf courses and resorts, a few legendary art galleries, and plenty of restaurants and retail.
Boasting a population of more than 50,000 residents, this area is considered one of the most affluent communities in Arizona and in the United States and includes some of Arizona's most expensive homes and land. The Catalina Foothills community also forms the core of Tucson's resort corridor. Popular hotspots include Hacienda Del Sol, a relaxing refuge with breathtaking views and storied history. Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn are among many of the famous names who have strolled the grounds of this stunning resort, which is included in the National Registry of Historic Places in Arizona and is a member of Historic Hotels of America.
The Westin La Paloma, a AAA Four-Diamond hotel in the middle of the Sonoran Desert, offers staggering views of the Santa Catalina Mountains and a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course.
At Loews Ventana Canyon you’ll find amenities and services of every variety. For those who appreciate the serenity of the outdoors, there are miles of hiking trails.
