La Encantada's Fall Calendar Runs on Saturdays, and Frida Is Built for Saturday Night

La Encantada has posted three dated events for fall 2026. All three start on a Saturday, and none runs later than 6:30 p.m. The Women's Wellness Event is on October 10, the trick-or-treat is on October 31, and the Fine Art Festival opens November 21. The center's own calendar is a daytime program that wraps up around sunset.

The newest tenant at 2905 E. Skyline Drive is planning for the hours after that. Frida American Brasserie is moving into the former Living Room space and has announced DJs at Sunday brunch and on weekend evenings. If it opens on its current timeline, this is the first fall in a while that the Skyline and Campbell courtyard has a reason to stay busy after the event tents come down.

Three Saturdays, All Finished by Dusk

Here is the fall calendar the center has posted, in order:

Date Event Hours Where
Saturday, October 10 94.9 MIXFM Women's Wellness Event 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lower level near Crate & Barrel and West Elm
Saturday, October 31 Halloween trick-or-treat and costume contest 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Participating storefronts
Saturday and Sunday, November 21 and 22 La Encantada Fine Art Festival Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 2905 E. Skyline Drive

The Halloween event ends latest of the three, and it is over by 6:30. The Fine Art Festival is the only one that spills into a Sunday, and it closes at 4 p.m. that day.

October 10 Opens the Season on the Wellness Side

The season starts with the 94.9 MIXFM Women's Wellness Event, Saturday, October 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the lower level near Crate & Barrel and West Elm. The center's listing is short and gives the time and place without a list of vendors or programming. Plan on a late-morning visit and expect to fill in the details once you get there.

The event comes after a run of wellness programming in the same courtyard. Moon Glow 520 is the center's free outdoor yoga, meditation and breathwork session, held on the last Friday of the month with Lululemon and local yoga studios. Its published 2026 schedule went from March 27 through September 25, with most sessions starting at 6:30 p.m. The page still says "last Friday of every month," but no October or November date is listed. Check with the center before you bring a mat on October 30.

Through the summer, Moon Glow was the one event that drew people to the courtyard after 6 p.m. With no fall dates posted, the published evening schedule is empty for now.

What Is Going Into the Former Living Room Space

That is where Frida American Brasserie comes in. Charles Hunt and Frida Hunt, whose family also owns Villa Peru, announced the restaurant in March with an August opening target. By late September the plan had moved. Tucson Foodie reported on September 29 that Frida Hunt hopes to open on October 22, and she called the end of October the safer estimate until a date is confirmed.

The design seems built to get people to stay a while:

  • A custom two-story Champagne display anchors the dining room.
  • A private second-floor room for red wines, which the owners describe as a wine cellar-style space above the main floor.
  • A 30-foot indoor-outdoor bar with a backlit marble base.
  • A climate-controlled "living patio" designed to stay comfortable through Tucson summers.
  • Service buttons in the booths so guests can call for Champagne cart service.

The look borrows from Carolyne Bessette Kennedy's minimalist style, with black and white carried through the branding, the uniforms and the interior. The weekend plan is what connects Frida to the courtyard's calendar. DJs at Sunday brunch and on weekend evenings are meant to carry the room from daytime dining into nightlife.

The Menu, as Previewed So Far

The drinks program centers on Champagne and Champagne cocktails. In March the owners previewed dishes ranging from mini lobster rolls and crab cakes to duck confit salad, filet mignon medallions, oysters, lobster tails, grilled halibut, caviar and veal ossobuco. The September preview added crab Louie salad, French onion soup, steakhouse cuts and pasta at dinner. A lunch menu lists panini, burgers, steak frites and a French dip. The restaurant says the menu is still a work in progress and may change before opening.

The lunch menu matters for this calendar. A place that serves steak frites at midday and has DJs on weekend nights covers the gap between a 2 p.m. wellness event and a 6:30 p.m. costume contest.

Halloween Lands About a Week After the Target Date

If Frida opens on October 22, it will be nine days old when La Encantada hosts its Halloween trick-or-treat on Saturday, October 31. Tucson Lifestyle describes trick-or-treating at participating stores from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., while supplies last. A costume contest starts at 6 p.m. for kids 12 and under, with Best Costume, Best Family Costume, Cutest Costume and Scariest Costume categories. You don't need to register. The event is free, children must be accompanied by an adult, and La Encantada, Tucson Lifestyle and 94.9 MIXfm present it together.

A family that stays for the costume contest finishes around 6:30. That is the point where the center's own programming hands off to whatever is open nearby. With Frida's opening still unconfirmed, the safe plan for Halloween night is to treat the restaurant as a possible bonus.

November 21 and 22 Brings the Only Sunday on the Calendar

The La Encantada Fine Art Festival is a juried show with free admission. It runs Saturday, November 21, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, November 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is the longest event on the fall calendar and the only one with a Sunday.

That Sunday matches Frida's other planned DJ slot, Sunday brunch. If the restaurant is about a month into service by then, brunch and an 11 a.m. art walk could fill most of the day without leaving Skyline Drive. Where the Evening Goes Once the Courtyard Wraps Up

The nearest place with a regular fall evening schedule is a short drive west of the Foothills. Tohono Chul, at 7366 N. Paseo del Norte, is holding three events that overlap with La Encantada's dates:

  • Jazz Under the Stars runs Fridays and Saturdays, October 2 through November 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Garden Bistro. Admission is $5 for the public and free for members. Its 5 p.m. start comes three hours after the October 10 wellness event ends and the same afternoon the Fine Art Festival closes on November 21.
  • Chiles, Chocolate & Day of the Dead Festival is on Saturday, October 31, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It features chile and chocolate vendors, artisans, mariachi, folklórico and family activities, and adult admission is $25. It runs 30 minutes past the start of La Encantada's trick-or-treat at 4:30.
  • Terruño: Flavors of the Desert is a 21+ dinner on Sunday, November 8, from 4 to 7 p.m., at $150 per person. Ryan Clark of Loews Ventana Canyon is among the participating chefs.

Put the two calendars together and a Foothills Saturday can run from morning into the evening. Halloween is the clearest example, though the two events overlap: the festival runs until 5 p.m., trick-or-treating starts at 4:30 and the costume contest begins at 6. If you are building a broader fall routine, our notes on wellness in Tucson and Tucson's food scene cover the rest of the week.

The Season in Order

  1. October 10: Women's Wellness Event, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  2. October 22, hoped for: Frida American Brasserie's target opening, with the end of October as the safer estimate.
  3. October 31: Trick-or-treat from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., costume contest at 6.
  4. November 21 and 22: Fine Art Festival, Saturday 10 to 5 and Sunday 11 to 4.

As of today, the center's events page shows no 2026 tree lighting or holiday market. Once the art festival tents come down on November 22, the courtyard's published calendar is empty for the rest of the year. Earlier this season we covered how Foothills weekends shifted downhill when Finger Rock closed. This fall, a new Champagne room at Skyline and Campbell adds another weekend stop to the Catalina Foothills.

At Tierney Lococo Team, we follow the Foothills calendar the way a good concierge would, down to which Saturday has a costume contest and which Sunday has an art walk. If a new opening or a seasonal event is part of how you're thinking about a home near Skyline and Campbell, we'd be glad to talk it through over coffee. Work With Us.
